Inspiration from a true story

An example of his philosophy can be encompasses in a simple wardrobe choice. The man, for God's sake, skis in jeans. When teased and laughed at, he smirks, with an honest charm and piquant gusto of the child that lives within him.
"I know I can wear jeans because I know I won't fall."
Down the mountain, through slopes and terrain, surpassing pine and pedestrians, he makes it look as if he's gliding down the side of the beast. He shifts his weight to tailor to the unexpected bumps and sharp turns that come as if out of nowhere. The cold brittle air whips past his face; the elements aim to bring him down; a glare that usually overawes mortals: prove to be no match to the solider on skis. When he finds himself on the belle neige terra firma, he stands, unstained with watermarks or bruises from a stumbled journey.
Actually, he stands, blue jeans triumphant,
despite a mountain of temptation.

  1. He has inspired me to always see the whole mountain. Though things may come at you fast and hard, it you take it one slope at a time, and always keep an open mind, you'll find getting down a lot smoother. Today, I am going to keep this in the back of my mind when I start to stress out. Today I will continue to remind myself that I must see the whole picture, and to not sweat the small stuff. If I am confident in my ability, I will not fall down.
